Communications materials include print, websites, social media, fairs/exhibitions, etc. For POS materials, the distributor/retailer can only use Michelin materials produced and provided by the Michelin licensee and is not allowed to develop its own. The communication should always focus on the MICHELIN product.It is not permitted for distributors or retailers of MICHELIN products, or anybody who does not have a direct business relationship with Michelin, to use the MICHELIN brand style or images and gestures of the Michelin Man in their communications.The MICHELIN logo can be used. The Michelin licensee is responsible for supplying the correct logo and validating the use of the MICHELIN brand in conjunction with their Michelin Lifestyle Marketing and Communication team.Use of the Michelin LogoThe MICHELIN full colour logo should be used. The horizontal MICHELIN logo is the preference, but as an exception the stacked version can also be used.On a black and white advert, the monochrome logo version can be used.The protection zone and background rules must be observed. To ensure the MICHELIN brand logo legibility, the minimum reproduction size of the MICHELIN name in the logo is 30 mm wide for print and 85 pixels wide for screens. The MICHELIN logo cannot be tampered with, altered, parts removed or proportions changed in any way.The Michelin Man and the previous Michelin advertising campaigns cannot be used. The logo integration must be validated by the Michelin licensee in conjunction with the Michelin Lifestyle Marketing and Communication team.Michelin Lifestyle - September 2019BACKGROUNDThe MICHELIN logo can live on multiple backgrounds.The logo can be placed over imagery, as long as it is a homogeneous area of colour or plain background.
