ForewordSpecial Report on Carbon Capture, Uilis ation andStorageForewordThe International Energy Agency (EA) has long highlighted that there are no singleor simole solutions to reaching international eneray and climate goals. Doing sorequiresa wide range oftechnologies,somemoremature than others. OurrevampedEnergyTechnologyPerspectivesseries,of which this specialreportis akey part,hasdone important work in illuminating the contours of the majorenergy technologychallences we face today - and how to overcome them. The analysis shows that oneof the key technology areas for putting energy systems around the world on asustainable traiectory will be carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS),finainternational aoals.
