It marks the start of the celebrations and offers a wonderful preview of each new edition of the Games.At Paris 2024, where the festivities will be continuous for more than two months, we are set to embark on an incredible adventure together, one that will span our entire country and rally millions of French people around the Games.The Paris 2024 Torch Relay will be a collective odyssey involving a whole constella-tion of stakeholders and partners of Paris 2024, ranging from the Torch Relay Official Sponsors to the public bodies involved in Paris 2024 and the sporting movement, but also the 64 territories that will roll out the red carpet for the Torch in each stage of the Relay, both in mainland France and in Overseas French territories.Today, we are extremely proud to share with you the route of the Olympic Torch, which will be far more than a trip around France in 68 days. The route will shine a spotlight on the amazing wealth of our country, including its heritage, natural lands-capes, museums, live art performances... and, of course, the people who call it home!The Torch Relay is all about the history of the Games and peoples. In 2024, the ho-nour of bearing the Torch will go to sports enthusiasts, talent creators and citizens who do their bit to make our country a better place.Four outstanding athletes — Mona Francis, Florent Manaudou, Laure Manaudou and Dimitri Pavadé — will serve as captains and lead the charge of the Paris 2024 Torch Relay Forerunners, who will bring the energies of sport and the Games to life across France until the climax of 26 July, when the Olympic Games opening ceremony will be held on the Seine River in Paris.Thank you, everyone, for rising to the challenge of this great and wondrous adven-ture.
