The only difference being that, in 2024, the whole of France will be a party, thanks to the long-awaited return of the Olympic Games after 100 years, and to the first Summer Paralympic Games ever to be held in France! At Paris 2024, our programme of celebra-tions has been designed to bring our vision to life: “Games Wide Open”. Our aim is to enable all the regions, all the people of France and all fans throughout the world to share in this global festival for the people. From the launch of the Olympic Torch Relay to the Closing Ceremony of the Paralympic Games, 2024 will bear witness to four months of celebration, emotion and sharing. And we have prepared a fabu-lous programme!Paris and the Île-de-France region will come alive with the Trocadéro Champions Park, where we will celebrate medal winners from every country and watch some of the biggest finals; we will come together at the Club France in La Villette, which will be the home of the French athletes, as well as in front of the Hôtel de Ville, at Georges-Valbon Park in La Courneuve and on the Île-de-France’s leisure islands and many other fan-centric locations.And from 26 July 2024, all across France, the thousands of regional communities engaged through the “Terre de Jeux 2024” programme will also open Clubs 2024. Designed to offer a personalised expe-rience throughout a multitude of regions, these Clubs will allow people to watch the events on a giant screen or to meet with athletes, sharing unique emotions. We are also making available a Celebration Kit, so that many places where people meet, such as restaurants, bars, retirement homes, sports clubs and leisure centres, will also be able to put up decorations celebrating the Games.
